To stroll, wander, lounge, an idler.
This is definitely one of my favorite photoshoots I have done so far. Both the photographer and I knew we were working by the beach that day, but didn't plan out exactly how we were going to utilize our surroundings until after we arrived on location.
The simplicity and spontaneity of the photoshoot is what makes these photos unique and special... Perfectly coiffed hair & a full face a makeup are not always essential to look great for a fashion shoot. For this specific shoot I wanted an effortless, go-with-the-flow feel-- which eventually prompted me to jump into the ocean!
I sort of let my hair fall wherever it wanted to, and I wasn't too concerned with how I looked. I was more focused on just being in the moment, and working with my environment & the natural lighting to tell a story. Instead of doing these overly contrived poses, it was more about moving organically. It was as if I were wandering & a photographer just so happened to catch me strolling throughout the beach, aloof and sometimes unaware.
We were also able to catch the sunset just in time for several of the shots, which was pretty amazing! Many of the photos had this dreamy effect from the sunset, that many photographers normally achieve through editing or artificial lighting.
