FINALLY! I made it into New York Fashion Week! Interestingly enough, it was about one year ago that I started this blog, where I overly described my "first" NYFW experience... And by experience I mean aimlessly roaming around Lincoln Center amidst the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week tent, secretly hoping I could sneak in, or that someone would spontaneously offer me their press pass. Clearly that was never going to happen.
Well, since then I began writing for various publications & I was finally able to get into NYFW! It is pretty rewarding to know that I was able to make it into a Fashion Week show on my own, and not because a connection simply handed me a press pass.
One of my favorite parts about Fashion Week in the city are the array street style looks. It's always interesting to see the outfits people put together, and the common trends that are spotted off the runway. I noticed an abundance of A-line maxi skirts... And surprise, surprise, I wore one too- not realizing I would be one of many.
Here are some of the street style looks I spotted throughout the week in NYC. As well as looks from the fashion show I attended!

This collection, which was designed by brothers Eri and Philip Chu, had an overall masculine & sporty edge... While off-the-shoulder tops, midriff baring pieces, floral designs, skirts, and colorful belts cinched at the waist created a vibrant and feminine vibe. The designs also reminded me of the quintessential 90's club kid fused with styles rooted in the designers Hong Kongese heritage.

Minimalist & chic. But really I just didn't know what to wear. Oh! And I opted out of the serious fashion pout and went for a smile. I just couldn't contain my excitement!
